Great food, great view. Arrived around 9:15 on a Monday morning, so there was plenty of parking available (3hr, free) and no wait time to sit down. Ordered the Classic Coast Toast and was very pleased. The toast had a hint of orange flavor and was soft and velvety inside of a crispy exterior. The two slices of toast came with a side of syrup and homemade jam. Beautiful scenery right outside of the restaurant with lots of walking paths along the La Jolla coast. Our servers were very kind and friendly and we really enjoyed our time at Brockton Villa!

A wonderful restaurant with the added bonus of accepting reservations - we really appreciated how they accommodated our request for a good ocean view. You can see the sea, feel the breeze, and even hear the occasional call of the seabirds and sea lions. The food was decent overall. We especially enjoyed the mussels which are super fresh with great seasoning, and the bread was perfect for soaking up the broth. The Hawaiian POG juice was also refreshing. We tried the Coast Toast, which had a rich, layered flavor but was a bit too sweet for our taste - though definitely worth a try for those with a sweet tooth. The only letdowns were the overcooked eggs in the Benedict (they were almost fully cooked) and the crab cake, which was a bit too salty. Still, it’s a lovely spot for a scenic and relaxed meal by the ocean.

This long established local eatery has been a staple for years. But as a La Jolla local we tend to quickly walk past due to the strong ocean animals stench. Today, we ate brunch! And yes, the stench is strong, but it dissipates after a few minutes of sitting down view and the location and the menu overpower it and I highly recommend checking out this amazing spot for breakfast or lunch or both! Max was our server and we enjoyed his professionalism and attention. Buon appetito! Due to the uncontrollable odor from the surrounding bluffs this should be 4-star but it’s not the restaurants fault so giving 5-star

Of course, the location is great! We had a table by the patio, overlooking the water. You'll still hear the birds and sea lions from where they're located. The food was good. I had their coffee with a hint of some berry--i forgot which one-- but it was pretty good. Service is also great. They're supposed to have been around for a while, says so on their sign. Will be back again since we frequent La Jolla Cove.

The place by far is my favorite in the area for breakfast. Great coffees/mimosas too. The food, the view, the servers are all excellent. Suggest a reservation!

The kind of coastal restaurant true to the Southern California high vibes, kick back quality. It’s easy to find near the La Jolla Cave on the bay, and below the swanky hotels and consumer stores. Parking can be tricky but at least it’s free in many spots. So don’t complain and be a wingeing tourist or stuck up local, okay? Now, Freddy is an excellent choice for server if they can seat you in his rotation. There is plenty of outdoor spots to make you feel special, and yet the indoor was equally enlightenjng with multiple framed view of the land, sea, and ocean as if you were in the seat of an artist while the paintings surrounded you and were even made for you, you lovely little ego centric hominid! And if you dear reader, don’t think you’re special, then even more to do in your post haste list - run to Brockton Villa. The cuisine is fresh and care is made to craft it in house. Even if you are just looking to enjoy a cortado by the sea, this is where you just have to be. After all, the Dr. up the hill was a deal not small, and there are two, not one toilets, if you have to go….
